New Data Suggests Immunosenescence May Not Be a Factor in Immunotherapy Treatment

Description: Graham P. Pawelec, PhD of Universitätsklinikum Tübingen explains how new data suggests immunosenescence may not be a factor in immunotherapy treatment. Immunosenescence suggests that older people have an immune system that does not work quite as well as the immune system in younger people. He states that this is a relatively unexplored area in cancer research, but could explain why some patients' response rates are lower than others. This was recorded at the ASCO-SITC Clinical Immuno-Oncology Symposium in Orlando, Florida.
