Patient-reported outcomes: are they feasible in everyday practice?
Description: Patient-reported outcomes (PROs) give a greater insight into the lives of patients and their perspectives on the treatment received. Here, Suwicha Limvorasak, PharmD, BCOP, from the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA, explains how older PRO measures, such as questionnaires that are currently being used in clinical trials, are difficult to implement in regular clinical practice. Dr Limvorasak also suggests faster and more accessible methods that may be used as a quality indicator of patient care, satisfaction and safety. This interview was recorded at the 2018 Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy Association (HOPA) Annual Conference held in Denver, CO.
