The differences in treating older versus younger CLL patients
Description: Matthew Davids, MD from Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Boston, MA outlines the differences in the treatment of older and younger patients. In older patients monotherapy with kinase inhibitors and venetoclax may be a suitable option. In younger patients doctors may have more ambitious goals, curing these patients or at least getting them into complete remission (CR). Multiple strategies could be explored either with combining novel agents with traditional chemoimmunotherapy, or using only a combination of novel agents. Recorded at the European Hematology Association (EHA) 2016 Annual Congress in Copenhagen, Denmark.
